For making me your SysKing, I would like to thank the legions of overeducated mindless Doctors and MBA's who somehow got this far in life and acheived so much without ever knowing where they saved their documents, knowing the difference between a monitor and the computer, or what a power button is. I hope you remember the nice gift I got you for bosses day.
Reality programming killed the video channel.

I have never been appreciated here...they say they do (because Ive complained about it) but actions speak louder than words. The stupid secretairies get more appreciation and respect than I do. The only time anyone "thinks" of me is when they have a problem. Would be nice if they spread the appreication across the board. (ok...just venting...been a busy cranky day). happy
the next time you feel that way, ask yourself when was the last time you said 'Thank you' to the janitor.

No one apprceiates 'The Computer Person' until they really screw something up. You save their butt, you may get a thanks and then it's back to your cave...slackers. Have to agree with other posts as well, problem is most have no idea what it takes to do our job. I can only dream that my job knowledge level was as static as some of these other peoples...

Worth
SysAdMan 28th Jul 2011
My computer lab users MAY have done something nice for me, but as I work as a computer scientist for FAA HQ, I'm one of the 4,000 on furlough (read "leave without pay") this week. I'm reminded of the WORTH "demotivational" poster at Despair.com (one of my favorite sites), which reads:

"Just because you're necessary doesn't mean you're important."

So much for this year's SysAdmin day...
